The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is an international professional organization with an Iowa State student run chapter that promotes the development and retention of all, especially underrepresented and multicultural, students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) related curricula.
The Society of Women Engineers is a non-profit, professional, educational, service organization dedicated to making known the need for women engineers and encouraging young women to consider an engineering education. It is open to students of all genders, races, religion, sexuality, and majors.The Society of Black Scientists and Engineers (SBSE), a student-run organization, is a chartered member of the organization known as the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE).
